Lauren, Security Team Member, Littlesea

What do you do in your day-to-day role?

When working a shift as park safety at Littlesea we have a number of responsibilities such as patrolling the park and ensuring the safety of all guests. We also ensure that rules and regulations are adhered to and that all the required checks and safety measurements that are in place are completed. When the park opens we check play passes to allow controlled entry into the show bar where all the entertainment takes place, allowing the guests to feel safe and make the most of their holiday.

What are you most proud of that you have done in your role at Haven or what has been your biggest achievement in your role at Haven?

Working at Littlesea is challenging but good fun. We are lucky here in that we have a great team of staff that makes all shifts enjoyable. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel safe and welcome within the work place. The part I enjoy most, besides the papa johns pizza, would have to be the satisfaction I get from helping families when they need assistance, whether it be medical, directions or even just general questions, if I am able to make their holiday less stressful and more enjoyable then I know I have done a good job.

What do you enjoy about working for Haven as a security team member?

My biggest achievement at the park so far would probably be gaining the confidence I now have in dealing with customer issues. No day is the same here at Littlesea and through learning how to adapt to different situations I have gained confidence, allowing me to go ahead and achieve my SIA badge.
